November Glossybox Contents

Friday last week was Glossybox day. It always fills me with joy when my doorbell rings and the post person hands me the box.

As ever, it’s beautifully packaged:

Inside and out, it really does look like a wonderful present. And it is – I enjoy receiving these, and the great thing is that the boxes are a nice size for storage of odds and ends. As someone who enjoys crafts, they’re really good for keeping things in order that would otherwise end up strewn around the place – thread reels, ribbons, scissors and my measuring tapes have all been re-homed in last month’s Glossybox.

Here’s what’s in mine this month:

We have, in no particular order:

  • Green Frog Botanic Natural Bodywash in Relaxing Geranium and Peppermint
  • Sport FX Candy Floss Moisturising Lip Balm
  • Beauty UK Cosmetics Contour/Powder Brush
  • Collection Cosmetics Define & Perfect Eyebrow Powder in Brunette
  • Boots Charcoal and Willow Bark Sheet Mask

This is a nice little box – the bodywash is gorgeous and as I’ve recently taken up running, it’s nice to know that I can shower in something lovely after I’ve been out freezing to death because I decided to get fit pounding the pavements. My mum liked the smell too so this has already become a fixture on our bathroom shelf.

I’m one of these people who lets lip balms run out and then forgets to buy one, so the Sport FX balm went straight in my bag. It leaves a little bit of stain on your lips after you’ve used it as well, so it’s great for lazy days when I can’t be bothered to apply or reapply lipstick.

The eyebrow powder came literally a week after I’d bought a new eyebrow pencil from MAC, and I think it will work nicely with the pencil instead of using it alone. I need to practice with it more, but it leaves a nice sharp line so I think I’ll be using it to outline my brows and then fill with the MAC pencil. A steadier hand needs to be developed here!

I’m a bit wary of the sheet mask. I’ve got an allergy to silver birch pollen, and it has willow bark in it, so half of me doesn’t want to use it in case I come out in hives, but the other half of me is saying ‘use it, you have anti-histamine cream’ so I’ll let you know what happens when I try it.

There’s not much to say about the brush, really – it’s another powder brush to add to my ever-growing collection. I think it will work for me as a blusher brush, but I’ve yet to try it.

So that’s the November Glossybox. Review of the sheet mask to come (if I don’t end up covered in hives). Let me know what you got in your November box, readers!
