You regular readers know I’m a huge Elemis fan. They really are the best skincare range for my skin type, and when I got an email telling me they had a sale on, well, of course I had to go and have a look.
And I really, really lucked out.
The ‘Pearls of Wisdom’ gift set was on sale, and oh joy of joys, it contains everything I use on a daily basis. It was reduced down from £199 to £139.30, and bearing in mind that the contents are worth over £300, it would have been rather silly of me not to buy it.
So, I bought it. Bye bye Christmas money. The image above is of the lovely bag it comes in. It’s huge, more than big enough to store any cosmetics, so I have now filled it with the pots and potions I keep in storage for when I run out of something.
These are the contents of the gift set, plus a cleanser I chose as a free gift:
We’ve got the following:
- Supersize tub of Pro-Collagen Marine Cream (100ml)
- Full size Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm (105g)
- 30ml tub of the Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream
- Two sachets of Pro-Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks (bah, I didn’t photograph these, my apologies)
- Pro-Collagen Super Serum Elixir 15ml
- Pro-Collagen Neck and Decollete Balm 50ml
- Cleansing cloth (which is a proper face flannel and not one of those thin pathetic cloths you get with some other brands – thank you, Elemis, we like a good flannel!)
And nestling in the middle of the photo is the Soothing Chamomile Cleanser, which I haven’t had a chance to try yet, but will review when I have.
I am so massively gleeful about the contents of this gift set. The supersize tubs on their own cost £99, so to get one of those and all of the other stuff for under £140 (with free next day delivery too, good grief, it just gets better and better doesn’t it?) made me extremely happy.
Some artsy shots of the packaging – as always with Elemis products it’s totally beautiful and really does show that you’re getting a luxury product.
You may notice lurking in the background of these photos a pink tub of Elemis cream – that’s the supersize tub of Marine Cream I bought last year. So I’ve now got two supersize tubs of it, meaning that I’m literally not going to have to buy any face cream for the next eighteen months at least. I’m quite frugal with how much I put on (and I don’t need that much anyway) so the tubs tend to last me a long time. I managed to drag out a 30ml tub for nearly six months once – that’s how little you need of these products.
So effectively I’ve managed to get a year’s (or almost a year’s for the smaller tubs) worth of skincare for under £140. That’s £11.67 a month, or thereabouts. Considering the quality of the products I’ve got, and how much of each of them I got, that’s pretty darn good.
I love sale season. You never know what you might find!
