My favourite time of the month has arrived! The February Glossybox landed on my doormat on Saturday and oh my, it’s lovely.
I do love when they do a limited edition packaging – because I use these boxes for storing other stuff once I’ve emptied them of products, it really makes them stand out among the other boxes, so I tend to put Super Important Things in the special edition ones. I’ve not decided what to put in this one yet, but I’m leaning towards makeup.
The inside packaging was cute and matched the box as well:
And underneath was a glorious box of goodies.
So what have we got this month, then?
- Ciate London Geology & Paint Pots – I got a sea green colour
- Steve Laurant Nude Pop Lip Tint
- Studio 10 Makeup Mist Glow-Plexion
- Skin Chemists London 24 Hour Aqua repair Facial Serum
- Sleek Makeup Divine Eyeshadow Palette
This is a seriously good box this month, guys. I love it. I liberated the items from the box and this is the array on my desk so you can have a better look at them:
The picture above is the facial serum, the lip gloss and the eyeshadow palette having been freed from their extra packaging. I love the packaging of the Sleek eyeshadow palette. It’s just glorious. It feels nice too!
Below is a look inside the Steve Laurant lip tint. It’s a really nice neutral colour, so I’ll definitely be wearing this. It’s a particularly nice shade for spring, I think.
And here’s the inside of the eyeshadow palette – I’m glad they gave us an insert with the names of the eyeshadows, I like to find out what the colours are called. So far ‘Marry in Monte Carlo’ is my favourite, but I think ‘Court in Cannes’ is a nice everyday shade. The second photo is the colours with the insert removed, so you can get a better look at them.
I’m really excited to try almost everything in this box – the face serum sounds like it will suit my skin, and as my current serum is coming to an end, this has arrived at the perfect time for me to start using it. The nail varnish is just asking to be worn with my summer sandals, so that will have to sit and wait for a bit before I use it. I like Ciate nail varnish, so it’s a welcome addition to the collection.
The only item I don’t like too much is the Studio 10 Makeup Mist. I sprayed some on my face without makeup on just to see what it felt like and it felt odd. This surprised me, because I really like most of the rest of the Studio 10 range (I’ve had testers of a lot of it) but this feels weirdly sticky. It says it can be used as a primer or as a setting spray, but it was tacky on my skin, and I don’t fancy spraying this on my face after I’ve done my makeup. I’ll leave it in the bathroom and see if anyone else at home likes it and wants to claim it, but for me, I think it’s a no.
A very good box this month. I can’t wait to start on the products!
