We interrupt the slew of lockdown posts to bring you a beauty post.
Despite the lockdown, the post is still working and those fine folks at Glossybox have delivered their April edition onto my doormat.
The theme for this month is ‘Blossom’ because it’s spring, and the products are described as ‘awakening and nourishing’, which honestly I think we all need right now.
So what’s in the box?
Nails Inc Blossom Kisses Nail Polish
I’m going to hold my hands up and say I don’t like Nails Inc polishes. I don’t like the formula and I’ve never found that they last past a couple of days. I’m probably going to give this polish to my mum, but it is a beautiful shade. Perfect for spring.
Avant Skincare Gentle Rose Beautifying Face Exfoliant
The Avant Skincare primer that came in a previous box is now a firm favourite of mine, so I’m excited to try this exfoliator. It smells really good and as I’m blessed with dry skin I’m always looking for a good exfoliant to scrub off those dead cells. The only issue I have with this one is the price point. It’s very expensive. My skin seems to like pricey products, so I have a feeling it’s going to take well to this one and then I won’t be able to buy another tube and my skin will sulk.
Sport FX Lip Balm
I got the coconut scent and it smells so good. Like a Bounty bar. Mmmmmm. I have already lined this up as the next lip balm to use when my current one runs out.
Rituals Cosmetics The Ritual of Sakura Shower Scrub
Sakura = cherry blossom, for those of you who aren’t aware that Japan turns into cherry blossom central in spring. This smells good. I have dry skin on my body too, so a shower scrub is a great thing. Because the seasons are changing my skin needs exfoliating more than normal, but this one says to use once a week so I’m hoping it’s going to be quite a harsh scrub, if that makes sense. I’ll be reporting back on this one for definite.
Hask Deep Conditioner
I got one with blue chamomile and argan oil in it. Argan oil is something which my hair hates, so this one has been passed off to my mum. Also she’s actually blonde, I am not!
So there’s April’s Glossybox. Lots of new products for me to play with and keep me occupied during these long, boring lockdown days.
