How has technology changed your job?
I’m a sales admin in my ‘real’ job so all that’s happened is that we are now entirely paperless and can work from home, the role has always had an element of technology.
When I started in this job we were printing orders and filing them, but thanks to the pandemic we had to start electronically filing things which is much better and if we need something, we don’t have to go riffling through a box, we can just look it up in the index. I’m sure the trees are happier about this too!
And of course technology means that everything is in the palm of my hand now, not that I have any work stuff on my phone because I’m not paid enough to be available outside of work hours and also this is my personal device, so no work stuff goes on this. I don’t want work snooping at my own things please!
